I truly believe that ereaders will eventually find their way into the library. But there is still a "cloud of mystery" on how the ereaders will be used by our patrons. Currently, we have ebooks through Gale and ebooks that were purchased through Follett. With the Follett ebooks only one patron at a time can read the book and the books are not able to be downloaded. With Gale, more than one patron can read the ebook.
I have looked at project Gutenberg a few years ago and found it very easy to use. I did a search for Phantom of the Opera and if I wanted to download the book to my Kindle I would have been able to do so. Here is the link for the Phantom http://www.gutenberg.org/files/175/175-h/175-h.htm
